Mike Chrisman, Jr Fuel “B” number 7125
Mike is the son of legendary Drag Racing pioneer Art Chrisman winner of the inaugural US Fuel & Gas Championship [March Meet] in 1959. A real racing family, with uncle Jack Chrisman. Mike and Art have been building award winning 1’st class rods and customs, along with winning race cars at their Chrisman Auto Rod Specialties [C.A.R.S.] shop since the mid 80’s Mike, with his father built his current JrFueler in 1992 that they raced ANDRA, GoodGuys / VRA, and NHRA Heritage, earning 3 season Championships. Mike also holds the unofficial low ET Saki Championship record that they set while racing in Japan. Mike also drove John Rodeck’s Nostalgia Top Fuel dragster from 2009 to 2010. Mike and Art have raced a few different versions of Chevy engines in the JF; SBC 23° non-raised runner, 23° raised intake runner, 14° raised runner with Hilborn Rotary injection, and now for the CHRR a Big Block Chevy motor. The BBC is a short stroke [3 ¼”] crank, big bore 410 ci combination.
