Alcohol Abuse Racing started out as a rear engine dragster driven by Brad’s father in the early 80’s and raced all over So Cal, Arizona, & Nevada. This car won Championships at both Carlsbad and Riverside Raceways, before moving to JrFuel in 1997. Alcohol Abuse today is a 225” wb sponsored by Machine Tech, Brad’s uncle, & Rieker Machine Brad’s business
The Alcohol Abuse team was started in 1976 running a Willy’s Pick-Up with Brad’s dad, Phil and uncle, Monte, and moved to FED in 1978.
The current Woodard’s FED chassis originally built by Mike Chrisman and updated by Machine Tech. The engine is built by Machine Tech engine building business started in 1981, by car owner Monte Woodard.
Crew is Brad, his wife Jenna, and their sons , Max & Cody, Brad’s dad, Phil, car chief, uncle, Monte, crew chief, Rich Reeder [ trans specialist] , Cooper Wheeler, John Connelly, and Brad’s older son, Zane.
Engine is an all iron 14° raised runner 399 ci SBC, with Engler / Parks alky fuel injectors, with a 55mm roller cam from Neil and Parks and built by Machine Tech
The teams 2’nd best JrFuel results is winning the 2016 March Meet, beating Alan Hull in the final.
Brad Woodard is the 2016 NHRA Heritage JrFuel Champion
For 2018 Phil & Brad build an all chassis, based on a Neil & Parks design.
